Sparta
The Sparta tribe comprises the three squads, Toger, Sperber and Specht. As our name suggests, we are descended from the noble Spartans, so our tribe symbols are the helmet and the torch of Sparta. Our tribal chants are in Ancient Greek. In the Sparta tribe, the Pinggel learn important values from an early age, such as openness, respect for fellow members and taking responsibility. Of course, sporting activities and competitions are also part of our programme. We hold an annual Spartiade and a Sports Cup. Even though all these activities can sometimes be exhausting and we have to grit our teeth, we can ultimately look back with pride on what we have achieved, which in turn gives us motivation and a great tribe spirit. Another tradition is the chicken barbecue. We roast the juicy chickens over an open fire.
